This page describes how to sign up for Yahoo! JAPAN Ads.

You get two accounts, Search Ads and Display Ads (Auction), as you sign up with us.

Tips
You can sign up for Search Ads and Display Ads (Auction) at this moment. We may call you to confirm your application. Depending on our policy, we may not be able to accept your application. We may ask for Identity Verification. Learn more about "Identity Verification."

Steps

Visit the sign-up page.

Tips

If the page appears in Japanese, take the following steps to view the English version.
1) Click the red button in the middle.

2) From the upper right, click "English."

3) You may find the following message, but click "Leave" and continue.
"Your application has not been completed. The data entered so far will be discarded; do you wish to continue?"
Enter the required information.
If you leave the required field blank, an error message appears.

Tips

When you already have a Yahoo! JAPAN business ID, click "here" and sign in.
In the "Authentication" section, enter your phone number.
Click "Confirm."
The "Reconfirm" page appears.
Check the information you entered, view our policies, then select two agreements.
Check descriptions under the "Authentication" section.
If you need to fix your information, click "Modify your application."
Enter characters under the CAPTCHA section.
Click "Apply (Next: Code Submission and Voice Guidance)."
"Authentication and password setup" appears.

Note

Don't close this page until you enter the authentication codes and passwords.
If you close it, you will lose the information you entered.
You will receive the email titled “Yahoo! JAPAN Business ID check code notification.”
From the email, copy the 6-digit confirmation code.
Paste the confirmation code copied from the email.
Tips
- If you already have Yahoo! JAPAN Business ID, you won't receive the code notification.
- If you don't receive the email including the spam folder after a while, click "If you did not receive the email titled “Yahoo! JAPAN Business ID check code notification” and resubmit your email address.
- You may not receive the email code because of your security setting. Check your software, email server, etc. that may block emails.
You will receive a voice or SMS code on your phone.
Confirm the five-digit number sent through a phone call or SMS.
*The voice guidance authentication is an automated voice call.
Enter the code in the "Voice code" or "SMS code" field.

Note

Depending on the plan of your smartphone or feature phone, you may be charged for receiving SMS.
Tips
- If you don't receive a phone call or SMS, click "If you did not receive the 'Yahoo! JAPAN Business ID voice guidance'."
- The codes are valid for only 30 minutes. To receive a call again, click "If you did not receive the 'Yahoo! JAPAN Business ID voice guidance'."
Enter a password in "Password for Yahoo! JAPAN business ID" on the "Authentication and Set up Password" page. Enter "Password (confirm)" along with it.

Tips

The password for Yahoo! JAPAN Business ID must be between 6 to 32 character strings. Check "Characters for Password" for more details.
Click "Authenticate" after filling out the email code and voice code (or SMS code).
A "Thank you" message appears when you get a Yahoo! JAPAN Business ID and finish password settings.
You will receive another email "Yahoo! JAPAN Business ID has been issued."
You can continue to sign in to the Campaign Management Tool.
Click "Campaign Management Tool (Log in)."
Enter the password set on Step 13 and click "Login."
Create ads and make a payment.
