Auto bidding type "Absolute top placement"

“Absolute top placement" automatically sets your bids to show your ad at the absolute top of the search results based on the target percentage. In addition to the absolute top of the page, you can also select "Top" or "Anywhere" of the pages.

When to use

It's best to use it as a way of building awareness about your product. Your ads appear at the top of the page that catches the audience's eye.

How Bid Adjustment works

  • The system automatically adjusts your bid so that your ads appear at the absolute top of the search results page.
  • The system automatically adjusts your bid in real time when an ad auction takes place.

How to use with other bidding methods

When you select the auto bidding "Absolute top placement," bid adjustments based on the targeting settings won't work. However, if you select "Decrease by 100%" for each device, your ads won't appear on those devices.

Settings

The following section describes the settings for "Absolute top placement."
See "Create Portfolio bidding in advance" for step-by-step guidance to set up an autobidding.

  • Auto Bidding Name (required)
    Enter an autobidding name. The same autobidding name isn’t available in the same account.
  • Placement (required)
    Select one of the following options:
    - Anywhere
    -Top
    -Absolute top
  • Target impression share (required)
    Specify what percentage of your ads appear in the specified area of the search results page. Specify between 1-100%.
    When you set your “Absolute top of the page” impression share goal to 65%, the system automatically adjusts your bid to reach 65% of the total number of times your ads appear at the absolute top of the page.
  • Bid Limit (required)
    Enter the bid limit between 1-80,000 JPY. If the limit is too low, your bid will also be lower. For this reason, your ads may not show at the percentage you set as a goal.
