Create multiple data at once

Data such as the campaign and ad group can be created together with the Campaign Editor for Display Ads (hereinafter, the campaign editor).
The items that can be created using the “Add/Edit multiple items” function are below.

  • Campaigns
  • Ad groups
  • Ads
  • Each targeting setting

Steps

  1. Prepare text data of multiple items to create.
    The input specifications for text data are the same as the import function. See the following page for details on the input specifications.

  2. Select multiple items to create from the display content selection list of the Campaign Editor main window.
  3. Click the [Add/Edit multiple items] button at the top portion of the data area to open the “Add/Edit multiple items” window.
  4. Copy text data prepared at procedure 1, then click the [Paste from clipboard] button to paste onto the window.
    Tips
    You can also click the “V” key while holding down the “Ctrl” key on the keyboard to paste data.
  5. Check that the content of the pasted text data and the item name (column name) match.
    Tips
    • If it does not match, click the item name (column name), and select the correct item name from the pull-down list.
    • Select the “Do Not Import” for the item name (column name) that does not need to be imported.
    • You can edit content of the text data that is displayed, in the window. Also, you can add or delete rows and columns.
  6. Select the campaign and ad group at the higher level to create the data.
    * When creating a campaign, it is not necessary to select the upper level. Proceed to step 7.
    There are two ways to select the upper level, described below.
    • Select the upper level campaign or ad group in the account tree.
    • Select “Enter in the text field without specifying from the account tree” to specify the upper level campaign or ad group on the pasted data area.
  7. Set other necessary items.
    (1) Data creation method options
    Select the data creation method option from the following three.
    • Edit existing data based on name
    Edit existing data for data that matches the name item. For data that does not match, create new data.
    • Edit existing data based on ID
    Edit existing data for data that matches the ID item. For data that does not match, create new data.
    • Add as new
    Do not edit existing data; create all new data.
    (2) Item Name List
    Displays a list of necessary items for each type of component to create, such as campaign and targeting settings and the like.
    Tips
    • Items that have been selected in the pull-down list of item names (column names) are displayed in bold.
    • Items that have not been selected in the pull-down list of item names (column names) are displayed in gray.
    • When the same item is selected in duplicate in the pull-down list of the item name (column name), the item is displayed in bold red characters.
    (3) Download import template
    You can download a template of the import file that can be used in the Campaign Editor.
    Use the import template when creating text data prepared at procedure 1.
  8. Click the [OK] button.
  9. Check the error details and the number of imports.
    (1) Review imported items and error details
    Of the data that has been loaded, you can download the list of data that cannot be imported, and the error details with the CSV file.
    (2) List of the number of import data
    The number of data to import, and data that cannot be imported is displayed for each type of component.
  10. If there is no problem, click the [OK] button.
  11. Data is created with the Edited status.
    When there is an error in the edit content, it will become an “Invalid” status.
  12. Upload created data to the Campaign Management Tool
    Complete application to the Campaign Management Tool by uploading the data created in the Campaign Editor. See the following page for detailed uploading procedures.
