Copy to create a component
You can create new items by copying created data such as campaigns, or targeting settings or images and the like with the Campaign Editor for Display Ads (hereinafter, the campaign editor). Use this function only when creating by copying campaigns and ad groups.
The items that can be created using the copy function are below.
- Campaigns
- Ad groups
- Ads
- Each targeting setting
- Various list data
- Images, logos and video thumbnails
- Videos
- Labels
There are two types of data copying methods, described below.
Create by copying only selected items
Steps
- Select the item to copy in the Campaign Editor window. Then, right-click and select “Copy.”
This will copy only data in selected items.
When copying to include lower level in selected items, check “Create by copying selected items and data under that.”<When selecting on the account tree>

- Tips
- • You can copy only the selected item or line by holding down the “Ctrl” and “Shift” keys on the keyboard, and pressing the “C” key.
• You can make multiple selections of adjacent lines by holding down the “Shift” key on the keyboard, and clicking the items you want to copy.
• You can make multiple selections of non-adjacent lines by holding down the “Ctrl” key on the keyboard, and clicking the items you want to copy.
Keyboard shortcuts
- Select the item to which you want to copy, then right-click and select “Paste.”
- Tips
- • When copying ad groups and ads, if multiple items in the upper level (campaigns and ad groups) to which you paste exist, a window is displayed to select the upper level.

• When an item is selected to which copied data cannot be pasted, you cannot paste the data. The “Paste” menu is grayed-out in the display.
• You can paste by holding down the “Ctrl” key on the keyboard and pressing “V.”
- Copied data is created in the Edited status.
When there is an error in the edit content, it will become an “Invalid” status. - Upload created data to the Campaign Management Tool.
Application to the Campaign Management Tool is completed by uploading the ad data created in the Campaign Editor to the Campaign Management Tool. See the following page for detailed uploading procedures.
