If you can’t deliver ads based on app event information

See the following section when you have trouble delivering ads after setting audience list targeting using app event information on Display Ads.

The user size in the audience list remains zero and not accumulating.
There are reaches accumulating in the audience list, but I don't see the ads.

  1. Do you set "event type" supported by the app tracking tool?
    The event types that can be connected to Display Ads vary depending on the app tracking tool you are using. If you set "event type" that is not supported by the app tracking tool, the number of reaches will not accumulate.
    For more information on event types that can be connected, contact your tool supplier.
  2. Did you combine "URL" or "Referrer URL" using "AND match" in the audience list associated with event types?
    Although you can select from all of the different combination rules, the number of reaches will not accumulate when you select "URL"/"Referrer URL" because the list doesn't have access to the data.

There are reaches accumulating in the audience list, but I don't see the ads.

Using targeting based on app event information, ads are only running in apps (smartphones, tablets), not on websites.
The ad will not be running if you set any of the following delivery settings:

  • "Smartphone" nor "Tablet" is selected as the target device in the standard campaign.
  • Only "Web" is selected as the target device "Web/App" in the standard campaign.
  • The URL set as placement in Placement Targeting is for web site only.
