Entities for Account, Campaign, Ad group

Number of entities such as account, campaign, ad group, keyword, etc., available per each component layer on Search Ads are defined as follows.

  • Total number of following entities : Up to 950,000

    ‐ Number of Setups, Target list to Campaign
    ‐ Number of settings of Geographic targeting, Day of week/hours targeting, Device targeting
  • Total number of following entities : Up to 50,000
    ‐ Number of Keywords
    ‐ Number of Negative Keywords set for ad group by "Negative Keyword Tool" feature
    ‐ Number of Setups, Target list to Ad group
    ‐Number of Target settings (allow, exclude) on Dynamic Ads for Search
  • Number of Negative Keyword Lists on "Negative Keyword List" feature : Up to 20 lists
  • Number of target settings for campaigns and ad groups in Dynamic Ads for Search : Maximum 10,000.

  • Ad group : Up to  2,000
  • Total number of following entities : Up to 5,000
    ‐ Number of Negative Keywords by "Negative Keyword Tool" feature
    ‐ Number of Setups, Target list to Campaign
    ‐ Number of settings of Geographic targeting, Day of week/hours targeting, Device targeting
    ‐Number of Target settings (exclude) on Dynamic Ads for Search.
Ad group
  • Ad : Up to 50
  • Total number of following entities : Up to 2,000
    ‐ Keyword
    ‐ Number of Negative Keywords by "Negative Keyword Tool" feature
    ‐ Number of Setups, Target list to Ad group
    ‐Number of Target settings (allow, exclude) on Dynamic Ads for Search
 
Tips
Both of two features, "Negative Keyword Tool" and "Negative Keyword List" supports adding Negative Keywords.
"Negative Keyword List" can create and manage the list which can be shared by multiple campaigns.
Available number of Negative Keywords varies with tool, please confirm the details described on the matrix above for your case.

Number of Targeting settings varies with the following counting.

  • Target list
    Counts the number of setups, Target list to Campaign/Ad group.
    ex.: When you setup a Target List to Ad group 'A' and 'B' as for "Allow" and also setup the same Target List to Ad group 'C' as for "Exclude", the number of setups is "3".
  • Geographic Targeting
    Counts the number of geographic areas selected.
    ex.: When you set "Hokkaido" for Campaign 'A' as target area and also set "Hachinohe-shi, Aomori-ken" and "Aomori-shi, Aomori-ken" as exclusion, the number of settings is "3".
  • Day of week/hours Targeting
    Counts the number of selected hours, day of week.
    ex.: When you make settings, Monday(6p.m.-7p.m.) and Tuesday (6p.m. - 8p.m.), the number of settings is "2".
  • Device Targeting
    Counts the number of bid adjustment rates for devices.
    ex.: When you make settings, "Increase by 200%" for smartphone and "Decrease by 100%" for tablet device, the number of settings is "2".
