Add ad display options

You can add Ad Display Options with the following steps on the Campaign Editor.
What is Ad Display Option

*Stopped adding, editing, and removing previous ad display options on June 8, 2022. Stop associating with them on June 29, 2022, and remove previous ad display options from the list view of ad display options at the end of July 2022.

Note
  • The process will be completed when the information entered or revised on the Campaign Editor is synchronized to the data stored on the Campaign Management Tool once after uploaded from the Campaign Editor.

  • If ad options are created or edited on Campaign Editor and reflected in Campaign Management Tool, it will be a subject for editorial review.
Tips
  • Added Ad Display Options can be reviewed on the "Common Library" tab. All Ad Display Options under the account are listed on the tab.
  • When you use Ad Display Option, you need to set up Ad Display Option to Campaign/Ad Group to use the feature. Learn the detailed procedure on the following help topic:

How to add Ad Display Option on Data Area

Steps
  1. Click the "Common Library" tab.
    Note
    You are not able to add data on Data Area of the editor's "Ad Display Option" tab.
  2. Click an Ad Display Option to setup.
  3. Enter the information and settings for Ad Display Options on the Data Area. See the following help page for information you need to enter for each option.
    Create Ad Display Option (QuickLinks)
    Create ad display options (call extensions)
    Create Ad Display Options (Callout)
    Create Ad Display Option (Category Text)_
Tips
To enter custom parameters when adding QuickLinks, click the "..." that appears when placing the cursor over the entry point and enter the parameter and value. Up to three custom parameters can be set.

<How to add multiple Ad Display Options>

Common Library tab

Steps
  1. Click the "Common Library" tab.
  2. Click an Ad Display Option you want to setup.
  3. Click "Create or edit multiple XXX" (XXX is the type of Ad Display Option), and click "(New) Create or edit XXX," to add or edit new Ad Display Options.
  4. The screen to add and update multiple Ad Display Options will appear.
    Click "Add Labels" and add the items in the text area.

    Tips
    When you enter the information of Ad Display Options only without adding labels, you can select labels on each data column on the preview window which appears after clicking the 'Import' button.

  5. Enter the information of Ad Display Options to be added, at the second line and after in the text area.
    Tips
    • You can copy and paste content from "CSV/TSV" or in the "Excel" file format.
    • Sample data can be reviewed by clicking "View Sample" link on the right.
  6. Click "Import."
  7. Check the contents on the confirmation screen, and click "Execute" if there are no issues.

Ad Display Option tab (Create options and associate at the same time)

Steps
  1. Click the "Ad Display Option" tab.
  2. Click an Ad Display Option you want to setup.
  3. Click "Create or edit multiple XXX" (XXX is the type of Ad Display Option). Select from the drop-down menu.
  4. The screen to add and update multiple Ad Display Options will appear. Select how to create or edit.
    Note
    Please note that if you select "Clear Current Setup settings and Replace with Selected xxxxxxx" (xxxxxxx means your Ad Display Option name), all existing setup will be cleared and replaced with the new setup settings.
  5. Select a Campaign or Ad Group to add Ad Display Options on the Account Tree at the left side of the page.
    Tips
    When you select a Campaign or Ad Group to add Ad Display Options to setup on the Account Tree, the checkbox "Enter on Text Area, without specifying on the Account Tree" will be disabled automatically. Click the "Import" button.
    Note
    If you clear "Enter in the text field without specifying from the account tree," be sure to select the associated campaign or ad group from the account tree.
    *When "Enter in the text field without specifying from the account tree" is cleared while the campaign or ad group to be associated is not selected, the "Import" button will be grayed out.
  6. The steps after are the same as with Common Library.
    Click "Add Labels" and add the items in the text area. Check the preview after adding or changing the data and select the item name. After inputting the data click "Import" to check and click "Execute."
    Tips
    When you create Ad Display Options without specifying Campaign or Ad Group, your campaign or ad group with the following name will be automatically setup to the created Ad Display Option. You can edit the Campaign name and Ad Group name automatically added by the editor on the process.
    ・Campaign added by 'Add / Update Multiple xxxxxxx'
    ・Ad Group added by 'Add / Update Multiple xxxxxxx'
    *xxxxxxx means your Ad Display Option name
Tips
  • When entering data into a text area, a tab or comma can be used to delimit data.
  • To add Ad Display Option, do not enter anything in Ad Display Option ID. When editing Ad Display Option, select already created Ad Display Option ID, it enables to edit the appropriate Ad Display Option.
