You can Add Keywords with the following steps on the Campaign Editor.

Note
  • The process will be completed when the information entered or revised on the Campaign Editor is synchronized to the data stored on the Campaign Management Tool once after uploaded from the Campaign Editor.

  • When you added a new keyword on Campaign Editor and uploaded to the Campaign Management Tool, the keyword is subject to editorial review.

How to Add Keywords by direct entry on the Data Area

Steps
  1. Click the [Keywords] tab.
  2. Click the [Keywords] sub-tab.
  3. Directly enter data while the cursor is in the bottommost part of the Data Area.

    Tips
    • You can select campaign name, ad group name, display settings and match type on the pulldown menu.
    • When you add an unique destination URL on the adding new keyword, you need to enter the URL on the field of "Landing Page URL".
    • When you enter the Custom Parameter, put the cursor on the entry field and click the [...] button, then put the parameter and its value.
      Up to three Custom Parameters are available on each.
    • When you add new keywords unter the campaign with the campaign type "Mobile App Download", required entry items vary with the OS type (iOS or Android) of App which you are going to make advertising promotion. [more details]

 

How to Add a Keyword from the [Create Keywords] button

Steps
  1. Click the [Keywords] tab.
  2. Click the [Keywords] sub-tab.
  3. Click the [Create Keywords] button.

  4. In "Select Ad Group", select the Ad Group the Keywords are added to.

    Tips
    • Ad delivery way of Ads varies according to the “Campaign Type” of the campaign of the ad group which you selected to add ads to. Please refer to the following page for the Campaign Type.

    • When adding keywords without designating any created campaign, the new campaign "Campaign auto-created" and the new ad group "Ad Group auto-created" will be created, and keywords will be added to the ad group. In this case, the created Campaign will be a Standard Campaign (for PC/Smartphone/Tablet).
    • When adding keywords for Mobile App Download Ads, create a campaign and ad group for Mobile App Download Ads first, and then add keywords.
  5. Enter Keywords

    Tips
    You can enter up to 80 characters per keyword and a total of up to 100 keywords.
    You can create multiple keywords at once to configure the same match type.
  6. Select "Display Setting".
    Select “On” or “Off”.
  7. Select Match Type.
    Select 'Exact Match', 'Broad Match' or 'Phrase Match'.

  8. Enter the amount of the ‘Keyword Bid’
    Specify the Ad Group bid amount between 1 – 80,000 JPY.
  9. Enter URL Option “Landing Page URL”
    Enter the page URL that appears when ad user clicks an ad.
    Tips
    - The domain of Landing Page URL must be match with Display URL.
    - For the keyword added for the Mobile App Download campaign, this item "Landing Page URL" is no need to be entered.
  10. Enter URL Option “Smartphone Landing Page URL”
    If the URL will differ between PC and Smartphone access, place the URL for smartphones in “Smartphone Landing Page URL”.
    Tips
    - Place the Smartphone URL in “Smartphone Landing Page URL” when the advertiser only has a URL for Smartphones.
    - For the keyword added for the Mobile App Download campaign, this item "Smartphone Landing Page URL" is no need to be entered.
  11. Enter URL Option “Tracking URL”
    If an ad tracking tool is used to obtain data such as click information, place the URL for the ad tracking within “Tracking URL”.
    Tips
    -If the landing page will directory link from the ad clicked by users, “Tacking URL” will not be required to set.
    - For the keyword added for the Mobile App Download campaign, this item "Tracking URL" is no need to be entered.
  12. Enter URL Option “Custom Parameter”
    Enter the Custom Parameter, clicking [...] button on the right side of its field. Placing Custom Parameter in the URL enables URLs such as “Landing Page URL” and “Tracking URL” to include a unique value that will track ad performance.

    -When you enter the custom parameter, you need to enter both of the parameter itself and its value.
    -For the keyword added for the Mobile App Download campaign, this item "Custom Parameter" is no need to be entered.
  13. Click the [Create] button. Click the [Continue] button to add Keywords sequentially.

    Tips
    When you create an ad group without specifying any campaign, the popup message of creating a new campaign will appear for your notification.

If you add keywords without designating any ad group, the new campaign “Campaign auto-created ” and "Ad group auto-created" will be added to your account and the campaign and ad group statuses will be ‘Invalid’.
Any campaign with such ‘Invalid’ status on Campaign Editor and ad groups under the campaign will not be applied to the Campaign Management Tool even if you try uploading. Before uploading, please enter the following information on the [Campaign] tab of Campaign Editor.

How to Add Keywords in bulk with the [Add/Update Multiple Keywords] button

Steps
  1. Click the [Keywords] tab.
  2. Click the [Keywords] sub-tab.
  3. Click the [Add/Update Multiple Keywords] button.

  5. Select the Ad Group to add Keywords to.

  6. Click the [Add Labels] button.
  7. Enter the Keyword information to add from the second row of Text Area and downward.

    Tips
    • You can copy and paste content from ‘CSV’ file or in the ‘Excel’ file format.
    • Data entry examples can be checked clicking “入力例を表示”link.
    • When you add an unique destination URL on the adding new keyword, you need to enter the URL on the field of "Landing Page URL".
    • When you add new keywords under the campaign with the campaign type "Mobile App Download", required entry items vary with the OS type (iOS or Android) of App which you are going to make advertising promotion. [more details]
  8. Click the [Import] button.

  9. Check the contents on the confirmation screen, and click the [Execute] button if there are no issues.

Tips
  • If a keyword is created without specifying a campaign or ad group, it will be added to "Campaign created with 'Create Multiple Keywords'" or "Ad Group created with 'Create Multiple Keywords'".
  • Adding ads in bulk without designating any ad group in a circumstance that there have been already “Campaign created by ‘Add Multiple Ads'” and “Ad Group created by ‘Add Multiple Ads'”, new keywords will be inserted to the “Ad Group created by ‘Add Multiple Keywords'” which has been already existing.
