What are the account limits for Search Ads?

What are the account limits for Search Ads?

Entities in your accounts, campaigns, and ad groups have the following limits.

 

Element Limit
Account
  • Campaign: up to 100
    *Includes ads that are turned off and disapproved.
  • Up to 950,000 for the sum of the following entities:
    • Number of negative keywords associated with campaigns using the “Negative Keywords Tool”
    • Number of associations between target lists and campaigns
    • Number of Target settings for geographic, day of week/hours, and device
  • Up to 50,000 for the sum of the following entities:
    • Number of keywords
    • Number of negative keywords associated with ad groups using the “Negative Keywords Tool”
    • Number of associations between target lists and ad groups
    • Number of Target settings (allow, exclude) on Dynamic Ads for Search
  • Number of negative keyword lists in the “Negative Keyword List”: up to 20
  • Up to 500 for the sum of the following entities:
    • Number of ad display options
    • Number of lines in data auto insertion list for the ad customizer
    • Number of page URLs for Dynamic Ads for Search
  • Up to 60 for the sum of the following entities:
    • Number of page feeds
    • Number of data assignment list for the ad customizer

  • Target lists for site retargeting: up to 2,000
  • Target settings for Dynamic Ads for Search campaigns and ad groups: up to 10,000
Campaign
  • Ad groups: up to 2,000
  • Up to 5,000 for the sum of the following entities:
    • Number of negative keywords set in the “Negative Keywords Tool”
    • Number of associations between target lists and campaigns
    • Number of target settings for geographic, day of week/hours, device
  • Number of associations for ad display options
    • Number of associations per campaign: up to 20
    • The sum of associations for campaigns in the account: up to 50,000
  • Associations of page feeds with matching domains: 60
Ad group
  • Ads: up to 50
  • Up to 2,000 for the sum of the following entities:
    • Number of keywords
    • Number of negative keywords set in the “Negative Keywords Tool”
    • Number of Target settings (allow, exclude) on Dynamic Ads for Search
  • Associations for ad display options
    • Number of associations per ad group: up to 20
    • The sum of associations for ad groups in the account: up to 250,000
    • The sum of associations for ad groups under the campaign: up to 9,000

In addition to entities listed in the preceding section, associations for negative keywords and target lists are counted in Search Ads. The negative keywords limit counts differently depending on the tool such as “Negative Keywords Tool” and “Negative Keyword List.”
