Review and Update Bid Adjustment for each device

You can review and update the Smartphone Bid Adjustment which has been set on your Campaign or Ad Group creation process with the following steps.
Review and Update Bid Adjustment for each device on the "Campaign Settings":

Steps
  1. Click the [Search Ads] tab of the Campaign Management Tool.
  2. Click the [Campaigns] tab.
  3. From the campaign list in the navigation area on the left, click the campaign you want to edit.
  4. Click “Campaign Settings” on the top of the screen.
    The "Devices" part of "Targeting" on the "Campaign Settings" shows the current Bid Adjustment to be reviewed.
  5. Click the "Edit" on the right end of the "Targeting" on the "Campaign Settings" page to edit the setting.
  6. Select "Increase/Decrease by" from the pull-down for the device to be edited on "Devices" field on "Edit Campaign" page, then enter any value for adjustment rate on the right.
  7. You can click the "Save Changes" on the bottom of the page to complete the process.

Review and Update Bid Adjustment on the "Ad Group Settings":

Steps
  1. Click the [Search Ads] tab of the Campaign Management Tool.
  2. Click the [Campaigns] tab.
  3. From “Campaigns” in the navigation section on the left, click on the campaign containing the ad group to edit.
  4. Click the [Ad Group] under “Select Items”.
  5. Click the ad group to edit.
  6. Click the [Ad Group Settings] at the top.
    You are able to review the current bid adjustment rate for each device on the "Bid Adjustment (%)" field on "Ad group settings" page.
  7. Click “Change Settings” to edit the current settings at the bottom of the page.
  8. On the "Bid Adjustment (%)" field of "Edit ad group" page, the setting for each device appears.
  9. Select 'Set' or ''Do not set' for the 'Bid Adjustment(%)' for specified device.
  10. If you set, select 'Increase by' or 'Decrease by' on the pulldown menu, then set value of Bid Adjustment.
  11. Click the [Save Changes] button at the bottom to complete the process.
Tips
  • Keep the Bid Adjustment rate within the range below. (in increment of 1%, half-width numerals).
    -Increase by : 0% - 900% (Put higher bid between 0% - 900%)
    -Decrease by : 1% - 90% (Put lower bid between 1% - 90%)
  • If you do not display your ads for specific device,_ select the "Decrease by" and put the value "100" for the device.
  • If you set the Bid Adjustment for each device both on Campaign and Ad Group level, the settings for Ad group will be effective. If you do not set the Bid Adjustment for each device on Ad Group, the settings for Campaign is effective. However, if you set “Decrease by :100%” for the Bid Adjustment on Campaign level, with or without the adjustment on Ad Group level, all Ads of the Campaign will not be displayed on the specified device.
Note
  • If Bid Adjustment for each device is set with Auto Bidding Type "Target CPA", the Bid Adjustment will be applied to "Target CPA".
  • Bid Adjustment for each device does not work with Auto Bidding Type "Target ROAS". However, only when you set "Decrease by : 100%", the rate of Bid Adjustment will be applied to the specified device regardless of Auto Bidding Type.
