Basic of Display Ads' campaign management tool

You can use the campaign management tool for Yahoo! JAPAN Ads Display Ads for creating new campaigns, for reviewing performance data and etc, on your screen. This help describes the basics of the campaign management tool.

Screen configuration for the list

(1) Displays campaigns and ad groups under the account in a tree structure. You can narrow down and sort the displayed contents.
(2) The setting items (ad creatives, targeting settings) for the currently displayed ads can be checked.
(3) The common information of the currently displayed ads and accounts are displayed.
(4) The actual performance of ads currently displayed can be checked in graph format. Learn more about Check performance data.
(5) The actual performance ​​and set values ​​of the ads currently being displayed can be checked in a list.

Select an account

To switch the account displayed in the list, click the "V" displayed next to the account name at the top of the screen and select the account from the list.

Tips
On the list, you can narrow down the accounts by account name and account ID.

Select a campaign, ad group

If you want to narrow down the display data of the graph area and list to only specific components, select a campaign or ad group from the side menu.

If you click "∨" in "View", you can narrow down "Distribution settings" by the following items for both campaigns and ad groups.

  • All
  • On
  • Off
Tips
A green "○" is displayed for components with the display setting "On."

If you click "∨" in "Sort", you can sort both campaigns and ad groups by the following items.

  • None
  • name (ascending order)
  • name (descending order)
  • display setting (from On to Off)
  • Display setting (from Off to On)

Check the list of all campaigns

When you select "All campaigns", the ad components and settings created for all campaigns under your account will be displayed in a list (display items vary depending on the items selected in the side menu).

Tips
When you have selected items in "View" and "Sort" in the side menu, even if you select "All campaigns", only the displayed and sorted items will be displayed in the side menu.

Select from the breadcrumb link

You can also narrow down the display data by specific ad components from the breadcrumb link displayed at the top of the screen.

Select the layer and targeting settings to be set from the side menu.

Customize the list view

You can edit the items displayed on the list, sort the data, and show/hide the graph and side menu. Learn more about Customize list view.

Use Recommendations

You can check and apply the suggestions for your account in "Recommendations" at the screen left. Learn more “How to use Recommendations

Use inline editing

When you mouse over the settings in the header or list that displays common information on each screen, the edit icon is displayed depending on the item. You can edit directly by clicking the edit icon.

Use bulk edits

When you check the ad components and targeting settings and click "Bulk edits", you can perform operations such as deleting the submissions at once. Learn more about Bulk edit campaigns, ad groups, ads on the list view.

Use Labels

Labels feature enables you to group and filter components such as campaigns and ads by setting up optional names to label them. Learn more about Labels feature.

Download data

You can download various data from the "Download" button at the top of the data area.

  • CSV file of the listed information
    You can download the information of added components and performance data of the items displayed on the list screen in CSV format.
  • CSV file for importing (UTF-8/Shift JIS)
    You can download the information in CSV format in a format that can be used as a file for importing. Available character codes are UTF-8 and Shift JIS for the CSV file.

Tips
  • Downloads up to 10,000 data regardless of the number of displayed items selected.
  • Downloading data of more than 10,000 items is not available. Set the filter conditions to narrow down the target number to 10,000 or less.

Verify editorial status

You can check the status on “Review Status” part on the screen.
Click the i icon displayed in the editorial status column to check the reject reasons.

Tips
  • If "Editorial Status" is not displayed in the ad list, click the "Items displayed" button> "Edit Items Displayed” and check "Editorial Status".
  • You can execute an ad resubmit request by clicking the i icon and clicking the "Resubmit Ad" button on the screen where the reject reasons are displayed.

Use reports

You can create a performance report from the bar graph icon "Report" at the top right of the screen. Learn more “Performance reports

Use several functions on the tools

Check notifications

You can check notifications about Yahoo! JAPAN Ads by clicking the bell-shaped icon "Notification" at the top right of the screen.
