Create ads

Steps
  1. Use the campaign management tool for Yahoo! JAPAN Ads Display Ads.
  2. Select the campaign to create your ad.
  3. Select the ad groups.
  4. Click the "New ad" button in ads.
  5. Select the ad type from menu.
  6. The create screen for the selected ad type will show .
    Items to be entered are different depending on the ad type.

  7. Click the "Add ads" button to complete.
  8. The ad will be added to the “Create an ad” screen.

    To add more ads, click the button to add an ad (such as the "Add banner ads" button) according to the ad type you want to create, and create it in the same way as above.
  9. Click “Create”
  10. When the created ads show in the ad list it is complete.

Tips to Create Ads

Load an existing ad and create an ad [on Create/Edit ads view]

Load the settings of the currently existing ads to check on the entry field.
Click "Load existing ad" button, and select the ad to be loaded on the appeared window.
With this operation, you can omit the steps to enter each setting items.


Copy an ad that has not yet completed [on Create/Edit ads view]

With the ad that has not yet completed creation, you can add a new ad.
You can copy an ad to edit the ad contents.
This is a convenient function when you want to create ads with different settings only for a part.


Copy an existing ad and paste [on Ads list view]

You can create an ad by copying and pasting the ads selected in the ad list at once.
This is a convenient function when creating multiple ads at once.

Ad format types

There are following two ad types. The old format is currently available, but will be end in the future. We recommend using the new format for creating ads.
■Destination URL (old format)
・Set the display URL (URL displayed as part of the ad) along with the destination URL (URL of the page displayed when the user clicks the ad).

■Final URL (new format)
・Display URL is generated automatically based on the set final URL. Advertisers don't need to set the final URL by themselves when using this format type.
・To measure performance, put the tracking URL (URL for ad measurement) on account, campaign, ad group or ad to enable the measurement on the lower layers.
・Custom parameter can be set on the campaign, ad group and ad layer.

Banner ads

When the webpage displayed when users click the ad is different on PC and smartphone, enter this smartphone final URL.
Tracking URL

*For the final URL format only. For tracking, set the URL for ad measurement.

Custom parameter

*For the final URL format only. Enter the parameter name at the left field, then enter the parameter value at the right field.

Enter the URL issued by your tool supplier for video view data linkage to each item to connect.

Select imageThis will show when image is selected for Media format.
When the image is uploaded , select the image from the list to use for the ad.
To add the image, drag and drop the image file in your PC to “Add image” area, or click “Add image” and select the file.

Select videoThis will show when “video” is selected for Media format.
When the video is uploaded , select the video from the list to use for the ad.
To add the video, drag and drop the video file in your PC to “Add image” area, or click “Add video” and select the file.
Click video and video thumbnail will show. Select the video thumbnail to use.
If you have no thumbnail, play the selected video and click “Extract a video thumbnail with this scene” and create a thumbnail.
You can also upload from “Add images.”

LogosYou can add a logo image to the title. This is optional.
When the image is uploaded , select the logo image from the list to use for the ad.
To add the logo image, drag and drop the image file in your PC to “Add image” area, or click “Add image” and select the file.
*The logo image size that can be uploaded is 180X180pixel.
TitleEnter the title of the ad in 20 or less characters.
DescriptionEnter the description of the ad in 90 or less characters.
Button textSelect the button name to display in the ad. Select from the drop-down menu.
Advertiser indicationEnter the company name, brand name, product name, or service name, to identify the advertiser in up to 20 characters.
For campaign goals “App promotion”, the app name set in the campaign will be entered automatically.

Dynamic display

Logos

You can add a logo image for any of your company name, registered product name, brand name and service name. When the image is uploaded , select the logo image from the list to use for the ad. To add the logo image, drag and drop the image file in your PC to “Add image” area, or click “Add image” and select the file. *Learn about the available logo image size on the Insertion Rules.

Tips

The URL of the web page when users click on the logo of ads can be set as "Destinaion URL (Logo)".

  • Added logo images are subject to editorial review.
  • The logo image may be reduced to fit the ad placement.
Destination URL (Logo)

*For the destination URL format only. Enter the URL of the webpage displayed when users click on the logo on ads.

Final URL (Logo)

*For the final URL format only. Enter the URL of the webpage displayed when users click on the logo on ads.

Smartphone final URL (Logo)

*For the final URL format only.

When the webpage displayed when users click the logo on the ad is different on PC and smartphone, enter this smartphone final URL.
Tracking URL*For the final URL format only.
For tracking, set the URL for ad measurement.
Custom Parameter*For the final URL format only.
Enter the parameter name at the left field, then enter the parameter value at the right field.
Advertiser indicationEnter the company name, brand name, product name, or service name, to identify the advertiser clearly.
Button textSelect the button name to display in the ad. Select from the drop-down menu.
Ad base color

To specify the background color, click ‘Specify’ and enter 6-digits hexadecimal color code.

Word or sign which is placed in front of price value.

* When you entered "Price" and "Sale price" in your item list file, the words set in this item and the price will be displayed together. When neither the price prefix nor the suffix is set, "¥" (double-byte) is automatically inserted before the price.
Suffix

Word or sign which is placed after price value.

万円 (unit of 10 thousand JPY), (税込)(tax included)

Campaign banner

Image to promote sale and gifts can be displayed using logo images and product images.
You can set this option at "Campaign banner" field.

  • Destination URL
    Enter the destination URL of the webpage displayed when users click on the campaign banner, up to 1,024 characters. This option becomes valid only when setting the campaign banner.
  • Campaign banner image
    If the banner image has been already uploaded, check the image to be used as the campaign banner on the image list at "Select logo or campaign banners" at the right end.
    To add any image, drag and drop the image file on your PC to the "Add file" field, or click the "Select image" button to specify the image file.
    *The image size that can be uploaded is specified.
