Bulk actions by importing files

You can create, edit, or remove your campaigns, etc. in bulk by uploading (importing) the CSV in the new platform.
To use this feature, create a CSV import file for each import items.

Tips
  • Users who have Admin or Edit access in the account can upload files.
  • We review all imported contents by system and by looking. It may take about three business days or more. When our policy changes, your ads or keywords may be disapproved even after you started delivering ads.

How to import

The following steps describe how to upload your files

Create a CSV import file

You can create a CSV import file by the following two methods.

Download a template and edit

Download the template and create a CSV import file.

Steps
  1. From the menu on the right, select items you want to import in the new platform.
  2. From the right top of the list, click “…”
  3. Click “Import.”
  4. In the new page, click the link to download a template.
    When you selected campaigns in Step 1, the download link appears as follows:
    • Download campaign template (UTF-8)
    • Download campaign template (Shift JIS)
      Tips
      Available character codes are "UTF-8" and "Shift JIS" for the CSV file.
      When you use Excel in Windows PC, use "Shift JIS" format.
  5. A CSV file with the following information can be downloaded. Save the downloaded file on your PC.
    • Required items to upload
    • Items of some performance data (data not included)
      Tips
      The downloaded file varies depending on the selected elements in Step 1.
      Example
      When you select Campaign, you can download the items required to upload your campaign and_items for some performance data.

      ・You can't edit items of performance data. The item name is displayed with "(can't edit)."

  6. Edit the CSV file downloaded in Step 5.

Download the existing data and edit

Create a CSV import file by downloading the existing data with the required items.

Steps
  1. From the menu on the right, select items you want to import in the new platform.
  2. From the left side list select the items to download
  3. Click “Download” at the top of the list.
  4. Click CSV import file (UTF-8) or CSV import file (Shift JIS).
    Tips
    • The maximum download limit is 10,000.
      When there are 10,001 or more data, you can’t click “CSV import file.” Filter the data to appear.
    • Available character codes are UTF-8 and Shift JIS for the CSV file.
      When you use Excel in Windows PC, use Shift JIS format.
  5. A CSV file with the following information can be downloaded. Save the downloaded file on your PC.
    • Items required for import and creative data (filtered data when the filter is set)
    • Some performance data
      Tips
      The downloaded file varies depending on the selected elements in Step 1.
      Example
      When you select Campaign, you can download the items required to upload the campaign with the existing data and some performance data.

      ・You can't edit items of performance data. The item name is displayed with "(can't edit)."

  6. Edit the CSV file downloaded in Step 5.

Upload (import)

Steps
  1. From the menu on the right, select items you want to upload in the Display Ads’ campaign management tool.
    Tips
    You can upload from any other list of items.
  2. From the right top of the list, click “…”
  3. Click “Import.”
  4. Click “Browse...” and select a file.
  5. Click “Convert.”
    “Importing” appears when the upload process started.
  6. “Import completed” appears when the upload process is finished.
    Tips
    If the upload fails, check “Actions” and “Error details” in the Import status.

Check import status

You can check the upload status in the Display Ads’ campaign management tool.

Check the message

A message appears in the top right corner when the upload completes.

Check the Import status

You can check the Import status from the tool icon at the upper right corner > Action management. 
  • Status
    The process appears.
  • Actions
    You can download the actions in a CSV file. Click the file name.
  • Error details
    The reason why the upload failed appears. You can download the error file.
    To check the errors, click "Download (CSV)." You can edit the error files to upload again.
