Convert YDN campaigns to Display Ads (Auction) campaigns

You can convert Display Ads (YDN) campaigns to Display Ads (Auction) campaigns in the new platform. When you convert, the new campaigns need to have additional settings such as campaign goals.
The converted campaigns are optimized depending on the campaign goals you set. Additionally, you can manage the ad groups and ads under the converted campaign as Display Ads (Auction) ad groups and ads.

Tips

Notes on converting campaigns

When you convert, check the following points:

  • You can't change the campaign goals once set. Converted campaigns can’t be restored to YDN campaigns.
  • The delivery logic changes when the campaign is converted to the Display Ads (Auction) campaign. For this reason, ad delivery tendency may change before and after converting campaigns. YDN delivery logic applies while converting campaigns.
  • If the campaign doesn’t have the daily budget, enter your budget after setting a goal.
  • When you change video ads to "conversion," "website traffic," and "app promotion," the charging method changes.
  • When converting the PC Brand Panel (image, video, and Dynamic Ads for Display) campaigns, create a placement list that only has "toppage.yahoo.co.jp." Learn more about How to convert YDN campaigns to Display Ads (Auction) campaigns.

Ads automatically deleted

Display Ads (Auction) doesn’t support the following ads. If these ads are in the converted campaigns, they are automatically deleted and converted.

  • Ads that have animated GIF
  • Ad type "Text: Title15, Description33"
  • Ad type "Static frame"

*If you use these ads, consider creating ads in other formats.

The available campaign goals vary depending on the settings of the campaign goal or YDN campaign. See the table follows the tips.

  • Converting "PC Brand Panel (static image, video)" and "PC Brand Panel (Dynamic Ads for Display)" campaigns aren’t available.

Tips
Converting campaigns aren’t supported by this feature if the setting isn’t listed.

Tips
  • Converting campaigns are available only when all the ad groups under the campaign have the same biddings.
  • When you are applying the same bidding with the campaign to the ad groups, check your campaign settings.
    Example
    When your ad group is set “Apply same Bidding with campaign,” and the upper campaign has manual bidding: ad group bidding will be manual bidding.
