Accept or revoke account-link request

The admin-access users who received the account-link requests can accept or revoke the request. Click the URL in the email or visit the Campaign management tool.

Note
  • Users with any access to MCC account will be able to see the associated ad account once the account link is complete. The same applies when you associate an account with another company. Users who have Edit access for the associated ad account can also make updates.
    The default permitted actions for an account-linked MCC account are as follows.
    ・MCC accounts of the same company: All access
    ・MCC accounts of other company: Read-only

  • When you associate an account with another company account, the user who has Tool admin access and does not have an MCC account access will get ad account access. The access depends on the operations given by the ad account ("All" or "Read Only").
  • Accept or revoke the account-link request in 30 days. The URL in the account-link request expires after 30 days.
    As the request expires, the request listed in the "Requesting account links" in the requester's MCC account and “Pending account link” in the requested account will be removed. Make a request again if needed.

Accept or revoke the request by following the link in the account-link request

Steps
  1. Click the URL in the account-link request.
    You will be driven to the Campaign management tool.
  2. In the “Pending account link,” click “Accept” or “Revoke” next to the account.2-1. When accepting the request

    The account appears in the “Account linked.”

    2-2. When revoking the request
    “Revoke account-link request” appears.“Revoke account-link request” appears. Click “Revoke.”
    For the requester: the requested account is removed from the “Requesting account links.”
    For the requested account: the requester MCC account is removed from the “Pending account link.”

    In both cases, all administrators of the requester (MCC account) and requested (account) accounts will receive automated emails that notify the result.

  1. Click “Roles” on the Campaign management tool.
  2. From the account list, select the Search Ads or Display Ads account, then select the account that requested the account link.
  3. Click “MCC account”.
  4. In the “Pending account link,” click “Accept” or “Revoke” next to the account.4-1. When accepting the request

    The account appears in the “Account linked.”

Check account-linked MCC accounts and ad accounts

Once the request is accepted, the account-link completes. In the Campaign management tool, you can view only accounts that are associated with the MCC account in the list.
The following steps describe how to check the list of account-linked accounts.

Steps
  1. Click “Roles” on the Campaign management tool.
  2. From the account list, select Search Ads or Display Ads, then select MCC or ad account.
    “MCC” appears under the account name of the MCC account.
  3. From the page menu on the left, click “Ad account” or “MCC account.”
  4. The MCC accounts and ad accounts appear in the “Account linked.”
    *”Ad” account refers to “account.”
Tips
  • At "Account holder" column, it displays whether your account-linked MCC account or your ad account is your own account or other company's account as "own company" or "other company".
  • You can check the list of account-linked MCC accounts with admin access.
  • You can check the list of account-linked ad accounts with admin access for MCC account.

Change permitted actions on account-linked MCC accounts

You can change the permitted actions for account-linked MCC accounts to “Read-only” (the default setting is “All”). The user who has admin access can change this setting.
The following steps describe how to change the permitted actions.

  1. Click “Roles” on the Campaign management tool.
  2. From the account list, select Search Ads or Display Ads, then select the account.
  3. From the page menu on the left, click “MCC account.”
    The MCC account appears in the “Account linked.”
  4. Mouseover the “Permitted actions” field and click the pencil icon.
  5. Select “Read-only.”
  6. Click “Apply.”
